Theatre Arts
Our exciting Theatre Arts and Theatre Arts with a Business Minor degree programs are all about nurturing a curious and well-rounded theatre artist.
You'll learn the fundamentals of acting, design, voice & movement, and play analysis that will prepare you for a multitude of careers in theatre.
The curriculum includes courses in theatre history, directing, playwriting, design, stage management, theatre management, Shakespeare's verse, acting for the stage and for film, and more.

B.A. THEATRE ARTS
With a Liberal Arts Core, this degree program is for student-artists who love theatre-making and consider themselves multi-hyphenate artists. Whether you are interested in performing, directing, designing, management, playwriting, or a little of everything, this program will train you in all aspects of production.
B.A. THEATRE ARTS WITH A BUSINESS MINOR
This degree program is for student-artists who love theatre-making and who have an interest in arts administration, artistic leadership, and entrepreneurship. You get the Liberal Arts Core, classroom training, and production opportunities of the B.A. Theatre Arts program with additional classes like Business Ethics, Law & Business, and Management of People and Organizations.
THEATRE ARTS MINOR
The Theatre Arts Minor is for Loyola students who want to continue to develop their skills as an artist and their love of theatre while majoring in other fields of study. Theatre Arts Minors are invited to audition for all shows and performance opportunities in the department as well as participate in backstage and technical positions.
Learn the Thing & Do The Thing @ LOYNO
You'll have the opportunity to hone your skills in the classroom and then put those skills to the test in our Scenic and Costume Shops as well as onstage and backstage in our Mainstage productions.
Students can participate in Casual Cabarets, New Works Festivals, Loyola Student Films, and productions produced by student organizations. You'll also have the chance to develop your network and prepare for what's next by studying abroad as well as working with local theatre company partners.
