Make Theatre That Matters.

At Loyola’s Department of Theatre and Dance, we develop thoughtful and creative Theatre Artists. Our students are actors, singers, dancers, directors, designers, playwrights, managers, dramaturgs, arts educators, and more. Many of our students are multi-hyphenate artists! Our dynamic degrees train you to be a well-rounded, skilled theatre maker. We want you to be confident and prepared enough to book the jobs and then kind, caring, and rigorous enough to get hired again and again.

Get one-on-one mentorship from professors who are working in the field and the support of passionate peers who will challenge and encourage you to be your best self. You’ll study in the classroom, hone your craft in production, network with local companies and guest artists from around the country and world, and prepare to be a working artist in the professional world.
