Loyola Faculty and Students Celebrate Success with New Film "BONEFACE"
Uncork’d Entertainment Acquires Worldwide Rights to the Thriller Shot with Loyola Interns
Congratulations to Loyola University New Orleans' School of Communication and Design’s (SCD) faculty members Miles Doleac, Nathan Tape, and Lindsay Williams, along with 15 Loyola interns, for their outstanding work on the new film BONEFACE. The film, produced by and starring Doleac, was shot by Tape with production design by Williams, and was filmed last May and June in Wiggins, Mississippi. The film's screenplay was written and directed by Michael Donovan Horn.
Uncork’d Entertainment has secured worldwide distribution rights for BONEFACE, a mystery thriller produced by Historia Films and Artist Vodka Films. The film, which stars Jeremy London and Elena Sanchez as a small-town sheriff and deputy investigating a series of brutal murders at local summer camps, features an ensemble cast including Alli Hart, Miles Doleac, Jared Bankens, Madison Wolfe, and Ritchie Montgomery.
Keith Leopard of Uncork’d Entertainment expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “BONEFACE is an engaging cocktail of slasher, thriller, and whodunnit with a superb cast. I’m confident genre audiences will find something to love here.”
Doleac, who has previously collaborated with Uncork’d on films such as The Hollow and The Dinner Party, shared his excitement about the partnership: “I’m ecstatic to be working with Keith Leopard and Uncork’d again. Keith has been a champion of our work in the past, and I think he and his team will be for this one also.”
First-time director Michael Donovan Horn, who co-wrote Doleac’s prior films The Dinner Party and Demigod, added, “By adding BONEFACE to its slasher/whodunnit canon, Uncork’d has proven once again to be a valuable distributor and ally of independent film and filmmaking. I, along with the cast and crew, are thrilled to see our work thrust into the world.”
BONEFACE is set to be released later this year, with further distribution details forthcoming.
