Guest performers frequently work with our students in a masterclass setting in addition to performing. This month's featured artist is the Matt Lemmler Trio, featuring Loyola's own Matt Lemmler on piano, Martin Masakowski on acoustic bass, and Gerald T. Watkins on drums, with special guest Sari Jordan on vocals. They will perform selections from Matt Lemmler's two recent record releases, Powerhouse and The Book of Psalms - Volume One. Matt Lemmler is every bit a proud New Orleans jazz artist, tapping into the rich heritage of The Big Easy in the effort to preserve and promulgate the distinct spirit, multicultural makeup, and storied history through his masterful recordings, captivating live productions, and serving the community via educational efforts and outreach.
