Bio

Mandi Wood is a lighting designer currently based in New Orleans. She received her MFA in Production and Design from Tulane University, and a BA in Theatre Arts from University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. In the last decade, Mandi has had the pleasure of working for numerous production companies in the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Montana, and Louisiana. She is currently the resident Assistant Lighting Designer for The New Orleans Opera Association, and a member of the IATSE local 39 stage hand union here in New Orleans. Mandi works extensively in the theatre, film, opera, and dance worlds as both a designer and lighting technician. In New Orleans, her design work has been featured with Southern Rep Theatre, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, The New Orleans Opera Association, The Nola Project, The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company, The Contemporary Arts Center, The National World War II Museum, The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, and Newcomb Dance Company to name a few.
