Bio

Karoline Schleh has her studio in New Orleans, near the Mississippi. She is a Professor of Practice at Loyola University where she teaches drawing, letterpress, and bookbinding. After graduation, Karoline worked for Vinalhaven Press in Maine printing for Robert Indiana, Alison Saar, and Jose Bedia. Karoline also printed and led a youth printmaking outreach program at Robert Blackburn’s Printmaking workshop in New York City. It was during this time at Robert Blackburn's she met and collaborated with other artists and writers that influenced the inclusion of handwriting into her works that she continues today. Karoline is represented by Callan Contemporary Gallery in New Orleans, and Ann Connelly Fine Art in Baton Rouge.
