Bio
Originally from Port Angeles, WA, Hunter Gordon began his appointment as Principal Bassoon with the Louisiana Philharmonic in September 2024. He has performed throughout Asia, the UK and Europe with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to joining the Louisiana Philharmonic, Hunter performed as a contracted member of both the Buffalo Philharmonic and Charlotte Symphony, in addition to appearances as Guest Principal with the symphonies of Houston, Memphis, Fort Worth, Charleston and Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music. In addition to his role as Adjunct Professor of Bassoon, Hunter also serves as a Staff Piano Accompanist at Loyola.
