Christine Harvey

Christine Harvey is the Media & Public Relations Manager for the College of Music and Media at Loyola University New Orleans. In this role, she leads media relations and external communications for the college, developing story ideas, writing press materials and alumni newsletters, and connecting Loyola faculty with journalists to highlight the college’s programs, research and creative work. She also assists the Dean with special projects, including the CMM Hall of Fame, Visions of Success, Wayfinding and Wolf Moon Entertainment. 

Harvey previously spent 15 years as a newspaper reporter covering government, education, economic development, environmental issues, disaster response and public policy. She reported for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, The Sun Herald in Biloxi, Miss., and The Times of Northwest Indiana. Her investigative reporting earned honors from the Louisiana Press Association, the Hoosier State Press Association and the Mississippi Press Association. She also served as the editor of Nola Family Magazine. 

She is a proud alumna of Loyola University New Orleans, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, and has completed coursework toward a Master of Mass Communication degree at Louisiana State University.
