Kiley Pohn, Loyola Class of 2018, and Dr. Serena Weren participated in the World Youth Wind Orchestra Project (WYWOP) at the MidEurope Blasmusikfestival in Schladming, Austria. Kiley was chosen to particate in WYWOP through a competitive application process from youth around the world. WYWOP is a wind ensemble, formed for this one week a year, which performs with Internationally reknown conductors and composers. An adult version of this group also exists - WAWOP. Additionally, 30-40 wind groups from 15 countries perform and share their culture heritage throughout the festival. Dr. Weren was the musical assistant for WYWOP, guest conductor for WAWOP, and an adjudicator for the international wind band competition.
