THEATRE, ARTS AND DANCE

The Theatre, Arts and Dance department has two more productions this semester. Urinetown, the Musical and Comedy of Errors.

To purchase tickets please visit: Loyola Presents

Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theater itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms.

Urinetown is being directed by Donald Jones, Jr. and will run March 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 & and April 1, 2023 at the Marquette Theater in Marquette Hall on Loyola’s campus. All performances begin at 7:30 PM.

Comedy of Errors-In this fresh adaptation by Director and Writer Sara Holdren, a company of performers have to figure out what to do when Romeo runs off with Lady Capulet and leaves their production of R&J two actors short. What about that silly twins play??? Two sets of identical twins are separated at birth. Many years later, on the shores of Ephesus, a father attempts to reunite them. Several cases of mistaken identities, comical mishaps, and hijinks ensue! But never fear...In one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies, all's well that ends well. Families are reunited, love is sparked, and the show will go on.

Comedy of Errors is being directed by Helen Jaksch with Assistant Direction by student, Jada Mills and will run April 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, & 29 2023 at the Lower Depths Experimental Theater in Music & Communications Complex on Loyola’s campus. All performances begin at 7:30 PM.
