The Wolf Pack Goes to Hollywood

We already knew they were stars, but now the rest of the nation will, too. Three “generations” of the Wolf Pack – one incoming student, one current student, and one graduate – have made it on to the 16th season of American Idol.

Kaitlann Runnels, who told nola.com that she plans to attend Loyola University New Orleans, is just 17 years old and has made the first cut to Hollywood (she also taught judge Katy Perry how to pronounce “étouffée”). Current popular and commercial music freshman Saasha Small has also advanced after her group a capella rendition of “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, proving that her classrooms don’t stop at the door as she continues to learn from – and impress – the judges. And alumnus Beau Autin '14 has appeared on the season after his video audition of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” earned him a spot as a contender.

We can’t say we’re surprised the judges are impressed – they’re dealing with the Wolf Pack. Good luck, Loyola idols!
