David Grunfeld is a photographer and videographer for The Times-Picayune/Nola.com with more than 30 years of professional experience. He shoots feature projects, daily news and sports, and contributes to social media.
His awards include a team Pulitzer in 2005 for coverage of Hurricane Katrina, the Associate Press Managing Editor’s national Photo of the Year award, the National Press Photography Association Clifton Edom Award, which recognizes an individual's ability to inspire and motivate members of the visual journalism community, the Associated Press Managing Editors, C.P. Liter Award for best of show for Louisiana and Mississippi, and numerous other awards.
Grunfeld grew up in Marathon, New York, and loves to talk about maple syrup.
