Loyola Design Department had strong presence at the 2015 AIGA Design Conference

The Loyola Design department had a strong presence this year at the AIGA Professional Association of Design conference this past week. The  annual conference was held in New Orleans October 8-10, 2015. 

Alumni Nessim Higson '97, founder of IAAH/iamalwayshungry studio, created the branding for this year's conference. Several alumni worked closely with him on the project including Joe Fleming ‘10 co-founder of BLKRBBT, who created the motion sequences used throughout the conference, and Danielle Matherne ‘10, Art Director at Trumpet, created the website for the conference typeface.

Justin Shiels '07, Founder + Creative Director at This Creative Lab, was a Main Stage Speaker presenting "Fall In Love With New Orleans." 

Design Department Chair Daniela Marx & Design Faculty Daniel Lievens participated in roundtable educator discussions during the conference.

Alumna Sarah Azpeitia '12 competed as a finalist in Command X, a live design competition featuring seven up-and-coming designers that face off for the chance to break into the industry.

Alumni Patrick Kelly '12 and Design Faculty Azu Roma '11 were selected to compete in the Adobe Creative Jam, a 3-hour live design charrette showdown sponsored by Adobe.
