2012 Ignation Outstanding Senior Man

This award is given to one undergraduate senior man who has distinguished himself by:

  • involvement in the life of the university;
  • representing Loyola with honor and distinction;
  • living a strong faith commitment;
  • maintaining a distinguished grade point average.
  • Commitment to the integrity of life, the demonstration of providing service to others, high regard for Ignatian, Jesuit values and contributions to the advancement of religion and citizenship are also important criteria for this award.

 Theatre Arts Merit Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to promote excellence in the field of theatre arts by offering incentives to talented theatre arts students for awards given to a junior and senior.  The merit scholarship is based on the record of commitment to theatre, leadership potential, and GPA qualifications.

The Leo Zinser Drama Award

The Leo Zinser Drama Award is presented annually to the outstanding junior or senior of the Department of Theatre Arts + Dance. The selection is made on the basis of academic achievement, community service, and creativity. The award is named after the founder and first chairman of the department.

The Ernest Ferlita, S.J. Drama Award

The Ernest Ferlita, S.J. Drama Award is presented to an outstanding non-major for their contribution to Loyola University Theatre. The award recognizes devotion and commitment to the creative process as exemplified by Ernest Ferlita, S.J. The selection is made on the basis of academic achievement, community service, and creativity. The award is named after Ernest Ferlita, S.J., Chairman of the department from 1970 to 1988, who gave generously of his talent and spirit.

Outstanding Achievement in Technical Theatre

This award is funded by an Anonymous Alumni Family for the period of ten years commencing in 2010. The recipient is awarded a cash sum of $100, recognition at the Annual College of Music and Media Ceremony, and a medal. The recipient has demonstrated achievement in the technical and design area of the department.
