Theatre Arts alum is PR/Press Development Coordinator with Cripple Creek Theatre Company and more

Monica R. Harris is a professional actor and a proud New Orleanian not by birth, but at heart. As a member of Cripple Creek Theatre Company (2009), she serves as PR/Press Development Coordinator. She also works at her Alma mater as the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance Assistant Business/Box Office Manager. Monica is Screen Actors' Guild/SAG Eligible (2007), a Leo Zinser Award recipient (2007), and holds membership in the following dramatic organizations: Alpha Psi Omega Dramatic Honors Fraternity (2006) and International Thespian Society (2002).

Her experience consists of stage/live-action performance, screen acting/feature work, and behind-the-scenes production. Monica's recent projects include the following: Discovery Channel's The Colony: Season 2 (Additional Cast Member), Lifetime's Queen-Sized (Ellen), This Property is Condemned (Director, Sound Designer) at Le Petit du Vieux Carre for the Tennessee Williams Festival (2010), Ubu Roi (Ma Ubu)at Marigny Theatre, Cripple Creek Theatre Co.'s Erik XIV (Dramaturg, Makeup/Hair Design, Costume Assistant), Storer Boone-Nominated production of The Velveteen Rabbit (Toy Soldier) at Rivertown Repertory Theatre; Big Easy-Nominated production of Aida (Ensemble) at Le Petit du Vieux Carre, directed by Tony-Nominated Choreographer and Artistic Director of Spectrum Dance Theater (Seattle, WA), Mr. Donald Byrd.
