When she finished graduate school, she knew she wanted to be nowhere but home in New Orleans. She had a desier to help rebuild the city where she was born and raised and knew that AmeriCorps would provide her with that opportunity.

Her previous experience includes working as an outreach coordinator with Phoenix of New Orleans, a non-profit devoted to the rebuilding and recovery effort of the lower mid-city neighborhood of New Orleans, public relations manager with the California Repertory Company, administrative intern with Seattle Children's Theatre, production manager with Crescent City Lights Youth Theatre, tour actor/director with Missoula Children's Theatre, tour guide and character performer with Walt Disney World, and gallery manager at Dashka Roth Contemporary Jewelry.

Jacobs enjoys producing and teaching theatre, making jewelry, photography, and playing with her pups Simbie, Stella, and Dayze.
