Tammie Merheb

Tammie is a Los Angeles -based costume designer/stylist who, after receiving a BFA in Theatre/ Communications from Loyola University, New Orleans, has been working in the field since her graduate training from Florida State University.  After receiving her MFA in Costume Design and Techonology she moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and took an internship with Celebrity Stylist, Basia Richards, and assisted in styling celebrities for print, television and editorial. After that beneficial experience she started her career in the city as a wig designer for Jane's Addiction's 2009 Lalapalooza tour, Cirque du Solieil and The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles. While designing wigs, she was assistant to fashion stylists, Alicia Lawhon and Natalie Marks, and worked on set for CBS, Night of Too Many Stars, MTV Movie Awards, Oprah.com, People Magazine and music videos.

Ms. Merheb has designed  costumes  at several regional theaters, colleges,performing arts schools, as well as, professional dance companies. In addition to her design work she has assisted on several large-scale productions including TWO FASCARI (LA Opera), ROMEO AND JULIET (Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles), JOSEPH AND HIS AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT (Tulane Summer Lyric), and FUDDY MEERS (Seaside Rep).  Regional experiences include productions with The Tibbits Opera House, Tulane Summer Lyric, Seaside Repertory Theatre, The Flea Theater, and more.

She has recently wrapped a short film for Guillermo del Toro in collaboration with Black Box TV called, Bundle of Nerves.  Currently, she is the Costume Director for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and Costume Coordinator for The Trudl Zipper Dance Institute at The Colburn School.
