We all know how Covid-19 put a lot of production on hold, but nevertheless, the show must go on (safely of course)! One of our very own Charis Gullage gets back on the road playing “Diva Donna” in the musical “Summer”, based on the life of disco icon Donna Summer.
The 2019 alumna will be hitting the ground hard by already starting tech rehearsals in York, PA at the Pullo Center. The official tour opening night will be in Pittsburgh, PA at the beautiful Benedum Center on November 16, 2021! Our graduated wolf pack member and the cast will then visit more than 40 cities for the 2021-22 Donna Summer touring season.
Not to flex but, did I mention that she is a TAD Loyno Alum, that is now living the dream of nationally touring in a musical about one of the most iconic pop stars? Not only is she doing amazing things now but she also made her mark here at Loyola! She made an appearance in 2 main stage productions and Student One Acts. Patrick Gendusa Department Chair of Theatre Arts & Dance says, “She always had star power, such a joy to work with and so dedicated and had such a great respect for the craft”.
