Loyola College of Music and Media students and alumni nominated for Big Easy Theater Awards

Joining the best of New Orleans theatre, Loyola University New Orleans’ production of the musical revue “The World Goes ‘Round,” directed by C. Patrick Gendusa, secured a nomination in the Best University Production category of the 2015 Big Easy Theater Awards. The Foundation for Entertainment, Development and Education presents the awards each year to recognize outstanding performances in musicals, dramas and comedies. The awards show, produced by Gambit, is set for Monday, March 30 at Harrah’s New Orleans.

Several Loyola College of Music and Media students and alumni have been nominated for Big Easy Theater Awards, including:

Nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Musical category:

Loyola Theatre Arts and Dance senior Kali Russell, who starred in “Zanna, Don’t” by See ‘Em on Stage: A Production Company.

Loyola College of Music and Media School of Music alumna Dody Nolan ’11, who starred in “Les Miserables” at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre.

Nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category:

Loyola College of Music and Media School of Music senior Idella Johnson, who starred in “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” at Le Petit Theatre.

Nominated in the Best Actor in a Drama category:

Loyola Theatre Arts and Dance alumnus Ian Hoch ’06, who starred in “Bug” at the AllWays Lounge and Theatre.
