Jo Carey is from Chicago. Her desire to leave the Midwest led her to New Orleans. She is an art major and a rising junior. Art has been a part of Jo’s life since she could remember. She has explored different media throughout the years. She has not picked one as her main media. She likes to explore surrealist and absurdist concepts in art. She tends to produce portraits. When Jo was in high school, she was in the IB art program and a member of the national art honors society.
