Hardy Weaver

Adjunct Professor

Hardy Weaver was born and raised in New Orleans and attended the musical theatre program at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts during high school. He then went on to Florida State University where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts. Following some road tours with productions of Footloose, Cats, and A Chorus Line, he landed a spot in the national tour of The Book of Mormon, opening in Chicago. He then headed back to New York to appear in The Book of Mormon on Broadway.

Weaver will be directing the fourth show of our 2020-2021 season: Head Over Heels, by Jeff Whitty and James Magruder. Based on a 16th-century romance with music from The Go-Go's, Head Over Heels is a queer and perfect combination of Shakespearean verse and jukebox musical. Featuring the Go-Go's hits, Head Over Heels is a toe-tapping celebration of life, love, and self. An empowering tribute to the fluid journey we are all on of self-discovery, this production has truly got the beat.
