One day, inexplicably, Tilly becomes happy, and wreaks havoc on the lives of her paramours. Frances, Tilly’s hairdresser, becomes so melancholy that she turns into an almond. It is up to Tilly to get her back.

The Mad Ones is a contemporary musical where teenager Samantha Brown telescopes back to a time before her world had fallen apart. As she relives her senior year, we meet Sam’s helicopter mother and her high school sweetheart, but it’s her painfully alive best friend, Kelly, that haunts her. Kelly was everything Sam is not, and she pushed Sam to break rules and do the unexpected. When Kelly is killed in a car wreck, Sam loses not only her best friend but also the part of herself that was learning to be brave. Will Sam summon the courage to drive away into a future she can’t imagine?
