Sam Garnett

Sam Garnett is a trumpeter, pianist, vocalist, and educator. He graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. There, Sam performed on trumpet in many ensembles including the USF Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble as well as many chamber ensembles.

In the summer of 2015, Sam toured nationally with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. The corps competed in Drum Corps International’s World Class Circuit. He was also part of the USF trumpet ensemble, which was a Semi-finalist at the National Trumpet Competition. As a vocalist, Sam performs as a regular member of NOVA Chorale, NOVA Masterworks, VOCE, and the St. Francis of Assisi Church Choir.

Currently, Sam is the band director at St. Pius X Catholic School, teaches group piano at the Loyola Preparatory Department, and maintains a private music studio.

Sam is a member of MTNA and Pi Kappa Lambda.
