Director, Operations & Technology
Courtney Garcia is the Director of Operations and Technology for the School of Music Industry, as well as a professor of digital media and brand consultant. She is a former producer for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and entertainment journalist, who contributed to outlets such as Reuters, Vibe, MSNBC, Huffington Post, and NBCNews.com.
Courtney has worked in digital marketing for Bob Marley's nonprofit organization, 1Love; celebrity trainer Jackie Warner; fashion expert and “The Real” host Jeannie Mai. She was a Project Manager at a music consulting firm, producing albums and digital content for the Grammy Awards, as well as managing recording artists and music marketing campaigns.
Courtney graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Communications and Creative Writing.
