With extensive media and marketing experience on the local, regional, national and international levels, Jordy Luft is presently the Associate Media Director at New Orleans’ Peter Mayer Advertising, where he’s been employed since 2006. There, he oversees the research, development, implementation and analysis of strategic media plans for such clients as the Kennedy Space Center, Dollywood and St. Augustine/Ponte Vedra Tourism, among others.
Immediately prior to joining the agency, Jordy acted as Director of Research Services for Tribune Television New Orleans (WGNO-TV/WNOL-TV), where he managed all sales, news and programming research projects. His responsibilities also included the development of station group external media and promotional plans. Earlier jobs in the advertising arena included serving as Broadcast Media Director of the former D.H. Holmes department store chain (ultimately purchased by Dillard’s) and various planning and buying positions at other New Orleans advertising firms.
Throughout his career, Jordy has worked on a wide array of notable accounts including 20th Century Fox, Entergy, Hotel Intercontinental, Suntory Water Group, 10-K Thirst Quencher, Louisiana Economic Development, Louisiana Tourism, New Orleans Tourism, Zatarain’s, Asheville Tourism, Hooters Restaurants, Piccadilly Restaurants, Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blends, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Dixie Beer and the New Orleans Saints.
A native New Orleanian and graduate of LSU with a degree in Journalism/Advertising, Jordy is a two-time recipient of the Advertising Club of New Orleans’ Agency Media Person of the Year Award. He remains a sought-after guest speaker at area colleges, media sales team meetings and industry conferences.
Personally, Jordy is a skilled musician previously having served as music director for several local churches. He enjoys traveling, movies, music, museums, crossword puzzles and avidly supporting the New Orleans Pelicans.
