Life is a Movie
I found most of the material for both "Life Is a Movie" collages in a book of film stills, which, paired with the written descriptors of the behind-the-scenes action included in the book, ended up being perfectly suited to being sliced and juxtaposed against each other to create a narrative rooted in melodrama. I decided to take a sort of satirical approach to the set, hoping to highlight some of the absurdity that lies in the recreation of elements of life in art when life sometimes already feels strange and dramatic enough to watch.
