The “Hold Up” project explores what it means to create art which involves both the surrounding natural environment as well as the surrounding human population. During his time at Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Professor Mark Grote will create a multitude of sculptures using materials he finds in the area, afterwards hiding them for the general public to find. The opening was held at the Courthouse Gallery on Parliament Street in Ennistymon, on Friday, October 9th from 8 and 10 PM.
